Yesterday, I bought an immitation Venitian carnival mask that had the right kind of shape. Now I'm cutting it to better suit the costume, and getting the paints ready.
Not sure whether to keep it the canon red colour, which is a pain to get right, or a tarnished brass colour...

Well, with a little help, the base robe has been completed. This is only the basic version, still to be accessorised and decorated, but I'm pleased with it so far.

Unfortunately, time and money constraints have forced me to put this costume off until at least October.
And I was so looking forward to having it ready to coincide with the new UK tour.

Well, if you're going to MCM in may, look out for the ninja with the stereo. You'll either get Rick Rolled, or blasted with Alestorm.

Question, do I get the wig pictured, or do I go for an actual mohawk?

Well, I've decided that for the sake of not driving myself nuts, I'm going to use the lightning bolt design instead of the sequins. So This outfit is going to be based on the London version of Electra rather than the Bochum version.

I've got hold of the paint, and the test patches I've done worked nicely. Now I just need to cut out the stencils, and I'm done.

Just finished making an adjustment to the unitard.
It covered my hands completely, meaning that it was difficult to tie up the laces on my skates, or do anything at all for that matter.
So I've just gone and made it fingerless.

That's all for now.

Well, here goes.

After seeing the guys cosplaying Cats at MCM, something clicked in my head. So now I'm learning to skate, and putting this together. Maybe I'll even enter it into the masquerade once I've got the dance routine down.

So far, I have the skates and the unitard. I have to say, full-body lycra feels strange, but it's going to be worth it.
Next part it decorating the base before adding the plates. Adding that much glitter might be difficult, not to mention that I'll have one hell of a time getting it to stay on, so I may end up going to lightning bolts/circuit designs in white paint instead.
