Progress

I suppose I got into cosplay from gaming. As a kid I loved playing pokemon on my gba
and watching the show as well as cardcaptors and dragonball z.

After working at a Game store I ended up exploring other animes and soon got interested in being creative with dressing up :)

I joined the site to meet new people, I love making new friends and joining up in groups for conventions. So feel free to message me ^_^

Cosplay 100% complete - cosplay test

All progress for the splattershot guns

Painted plastic tank, now just to add lever for the gauge and bag straps

Rest of detailing complete, now ready to paint!

Lid progress with thick cardboard

Poster tube plastic and thick cardboard cut with a scalpel to shape the round edges for the top and base

Headpiece for Splatoon inkling boy complete - used stuffing, spare fabric from a t-shirt then attached a rasta bracelet.

Glued felt to wig for squid ears, cut layers and layers of a spare wig to glue down and hairspray

Handmade the ear plugs/earrings (yay for stretched ears!) and headband

Necklace purchased and not seen, but bangles later bought

Wig complete - after much hassle attaching separate strands from a ponytail wig to the puffs of Princess Jasmine's hair and using a lifetime's supply of hairspray to hold it together and wiring, it is done! -_-

Wig continued - attaching polystyrene balls

Sewn in a wig rat into the seams of the wig to make a "roll" effect surrounding the head

Waist ties; red, yellow and black. Bow is separate and pinned down.

General base of the dress complete - just completing Umbreon symbols and yellow hemming

Wig styled with yellow orbs and headband and ears test

Cut out leftover yellow fleece fabric to the parasol and painted rest over with matt gloss

Ears complete! Attached to a headband with felt, wiring and hot glue.

Cut up fur fabric into pieces, ready to sew together and fill with stuffing

Dried and complete, added some matt gloss finish to set.

Spray painted with thick cardboard and gun

Painted glove and attached polystrene. All painted with liquid latex mixed with acrylic paints; red, brown and black colours. Used a pen knife to make engravings to foam and painted over. Set to dry.

Cut up blue foam to make a base and taped together

polystyrene cut into pieces and painted glove

Painting cherries on with acrylic paints. It was impossible to find the exact cherry fabric I wanted.

Used a cut out of a play-suit I already owned as a base

Fabric, ribbon and corset materials bought

Bolts arrived. Painted with acrylic paints, dried, then glued to chainsaw while painting the hearts

Wig cut and styled and attached with pins

Painted make-up with acrylic paints and personal MAC make-up

Painted the head with a mixture of brown and white acrylic paints and latex

Painting pattern on shoes for Serena

The difficulty of this wig is immense. Added wiring to the pigtails and hair sprayed ready to add a mould to make larger

Sewed on the collar to the tank top

Skirt sewn in pleats, added elastic then panel with pocket and button at the side

Nana Osaki top finally made. Was lacking so much motivation to do this. It looks ok for my first attempt with fabric paint. Just letting it dry ^^

Dress finished, wig, gloves, lemon pledge done.

Just need to fix the apron and get new tights

Sewn on a pocket, made a "fake" shirt, sewn on some buttons and taken it in tighter. Just need shoes and glasses now xD

I can still make cosplay progress while bed ridden xD take that US! Charging £50+ for Lemon Pledge bottles, I made my own! It's more fun making stuff anyway

Gogo Yubari weapon: complete! Cutting it so close to expo haha xD added spikes and spray painted..going to redo the chain by buying a metallic one as I didn't sand it down and prime it ready to spray paint so it keeps rubbing off on my hands :c

Gogo Yubari progress! Not sure about swinging it around due to the small chains on the ball, but it seems pretty sturdy held in place for everything else and lightweight.
I used a polystrene ball, foam double-sided stickers (as couldn't find one-sided versions) so washed out the residue with a soapy sponge and nail varnish remover, added some acrylic paint so it's set to spray-paint, a bottle cap and tin cap pin for the top to hold the chain, grey board for the spikes cut out with kids scissors xP and necklace chains for the smaller chains.....spray painting at a later date once my other spikes arrive!

Uma: Gogo da'ne?
Gogo: Bingo!

Completed cosplay! Just waiting on my polystrene ball to start the weapon :3

Kon has arrived in all his perverted glory ^_^

Gogo bow completed xD just need to add clips to the ends

Thanks to my persistence of having the exact detailing of whoever I'm cosplaying I managed to get the exact shoes Gogo wore in Kill Bill xD yay. Next stop ribbed white socks..which seem to exist nowhere o.O

Sorry for the bad picture, but it's finished! I promise to get a full complete picture once I finish sewing the neck bow and get the shoes and shirt :3

Blazer almost completed: both pockets and breast pocket plus patch and front collar added. Just need to add the buttons on front & sleeves, then take it in a bit.

Blazer progress: sleeves and back & front 90% finished. Back collar added

Half done xD need to resize sleeves, do other half, back and collar..then pockets, buttons, etc

Pattern finally bought and printed so got started on my blazer for Gogo!

Ironed skirt, elastic added and pleats all done, happy with the length. Onto blazer!

Pleating and length cut xD Waist and hem done ^^ adding elastic

Gogo Yubari materials bought xD just need to buy the lining for the blazer then start on the weapon :3

Progress painting the ears for Saria

Progress painting the ears for Saria

Finished cutting and sewing the body of the play-suit

Used an old pair of shorts to cut the play-suit as a pattern is not working

Bought the material for the play-suit

Left these to dye then will set them to dry.

Bought the turtleneck top. Was really difficult to find a green colour with the ribbing so going to dye this and the boots a darker shade

Bought a wig from ebay from an anime character. It was the right colour tone, so just need to cut it into shape!

Cut straps and spray painted silver rings to get it exactly the same as the comic version.
