After a long, long, long time, its finally FINISHED!.... well almost >< just the edging on the skirt needs sewing on but thats easily done. My friend gave me a rose which is attached and then after a bit more painting im finished. FINISHED and ready for goth weekend. Personally to me its one of the best things ive made ever.... im so proud of myself ><

Right!!! So the coat is nearly done! Finally! The collar.... oh the collar i hate collars i hate them so much but it looks good. On the main of the coat the painting is finished, i just need to finish the painting on the cuffs and get them sewn on.... blah. Anyways. Me and a friend will be painting the skirt when she comes down tomorrow, ill also be starting to make the longer feather for the corner. Hopefully the tassles will come tomorrow so i can get em sewn on and then. FINSIHED! :O..... kinda shocked actually....

Whoo. Not exactly happy with it, but i still need to put some wire in the bottom to make it fall how i want it to. Looking good though.

The feathers have come! And oh im so pleased. Sure they arent as long as expected, but they are so gorgeous. Real Rooster feathers. Black with a irridecent green sheen to them. Omg. I am in love. My mum gave me the packet, i opened it and i was like 'Omg... soooo purdy!!!!' *dies happy* Anyways, ill put an image on this journal, but unfortunately it does them no justice, you would have to see them in real life to see how pretty they are.

Right, So i have the collar painted. The over skirt shall be cut out hopefully tonight so i can maybe take it into college tomorrow and paint it. (Magic of SDS) I still need to shove the rest of the trimmings on, but today i shall be ordering some feathers and some tassles.... which i decided to hand sew on individually =w= ahh me. I always take the longest way around things. Im pretty certain that i shall have it finished before goth weekend and halloween Yey! So i can wear it to college and for goth weekend.... obvously >.>

YEY! She loved it. I will have a image of her wearing it probably this weekend. Her mum paid me £10 which i was quite happy with considering she did buy all the material her self apart from the small amount of ribbon i had to get so it could be finished. (Im not too bothered about £1 =w=) :D So yeah! Whoooo! I gots paiiiid! >< (im so childish.....)

Le cape is done! :D im not all too happy with the way it came out, but when attached, it looks pretty damn awesomes. I got some gloves yesterday that go very very well with it, and i have the collar made. It just needs painting now, and then having the edging attached. Should be ordering the gold fringe later on today so i ish quite happy with le progress..... (the gloves look hella sexy too ><)

I should have some images up by tomorrow! The arms are in..... i hate arms, i hate them so much, whoever created them is really gay =w= anyways, the black foldy things on the front are sewn on, the gold is around the edge is currently being sewn on. Will be getting more ribbon tomorrow because i wont have enough for everything, and then that will be sew on tomorrow, along with the collar, cuffs and buttons, im also thinking of putting a little strap at the back and using 2 buttons there. Like on tail coats or proper pirate coats, you know the litte strap in the middle of the coat at the back. Yes. Well. Oh and the shoulder things with the fringe is on! :D So its nearly done! :D

Le trimmings came! :D *is happy* They look so awesome too! I have gotten two bits sewn on allready, not sure when ill do the rest though.

So. I have one of the shoulder paddy things done :D it fits like a glove >< i just need to get the gold fringe for it and then that will be done (after its sewn together and such. The collar has been cut out and is ready for painting. The cloak is ready for altering and sewing. And i have the material for the over skirt which will just need cutting, sewing together painting and having the trim sewn on. The trim has been order (thank god) and should get here either tomorrow or the day after, which im very pleased about. All in all the main of it is mostly done! :D im not sure wether ill be making the lacey top and the leather belt for goth weekend, but for next year i will have them done. :D

Im still not sure what to wear on my legs or what shoes to wear. I may just go with the big goth boots you can see in my lolita outfits or my undertaker one? Im not sure if they are in those pictures but they might be. Im actually thinking of just wearing some tights underneith the overskirt and then just wearing the boots over them so it looks like the old style 'trousers' that they used to wear in the time that versailles are portraying.

Im even more determined to complete this cosplay because i heard that Versailles were in london a few weeks back and i couldnt go, so i though 'ILL FINISH THE COSPLAY IN STEAD THEN! Good day sir! D:<' haha.

Le Lining Is IN! :D Got le arms cut out and ready for sewing so i just need to get the collar and other details cut out and sewn and den it shall be finished!

Yes. Yes i have. I have stalled this for so long, and then realise that my friend needs this for the 23rd.... ive got 2 weeks to make it... with lining and everything. *dies* No worries though! I has lots of free time in college so i can get it done then. So basically the red part of the coat is cut, and tomorrow i will be cutting out the lining and the details and hopefully SEWING! :D

Well last weekend i finally went to get more material to finish off my jacket. Due to my good luck -.- (Sarcasm present there) they had like 1/4 meter left of the material i wanted. ALso the red fabric i wanted was like.... £4.99 a meter.... God damn it. So ive been set back, but i should be able to start on the cape and the shoulder covers some time soon. The amount of suade fabric i actually got should be enought to make something.... -.-

Im pretty sure by the time im finished there will be like millions of journal entries! :D Anyways to the point. Been testing out the cuffs, because im kind of obsessed with the jacket.... ^^ Well, they need to be sewn shut at an angle! Yesh an angle, i might even use a bit of interfacing in them to make them a bit more ridged. ^^ Will be getting some dark red fabric for the cape thats attached. I think Kamijo was going for the Aristocratic super hero, dont you agree. But then again its an outfit for a sad song, so probably not....

After that i felt like an old woman haha. The sleeves are sewn onto the jacket now and the cuffs will be sew together tomorrow. They wont be attached onto the jacket until i get some decent lace or ribbon or something. The bumpy bits on the shoulders (which you cant see anyways because of my crappy photos :D) will be covered buy the two shoulder peices that have yet to be made. Anyway need food D:<

Well that didnt go as planned. I was hoping for boys to stock some nice gold lace or something but it was this crappy stuff that felt horrible and looked horrible, so i ended up just buying another meter of black fabric, gold paint and some black thread. Bloody fabric shops. Well now ill just go to ebay, probably be quicker and easier to find the stuff i want anyway.
Stupid shops.... =w=

Cut out the patterns for the sleeve and the cuff peices today. Didnt exactly take long, but something to pass the time a little. Will hopefully be getting the gold trimmings for the edge of the coat sometime this week. And hopefully another meter of material to start on the over skirt.

Ahh! After another 1/2 hour of studying the damn coat i finally pinned it so it fits me really nicely! Damn my shapey body. And Damn you Kamijo for being so slim and having a tight coat D:< It looks like it should now, as it fits my bdy properly, and it should look even nicer when im binded.... i dun wanna do it, it hurts D: Anyways. After i get some more black thread (Damn you black thread for running out D:<) I will be starting the arms and the collar. Although i could start painting the details on now.... i guess.. Gah cant be bothered! Too much textiles for one day.

Front peices are sewn together. Not finished because not all the detail like the ribbon and stuff isnt on yet, but will be after ive baught it. (should be getting it some time this week hopefully.) The back and sleves are currently being done, and then the cuffs will be the next thing to be painted.

Edit: The main body of the coat has been sewn! :D Took a while like. And when i mean a while i mean about 2 1/2 hours due to mishaps and annoyances. It needed to be made smaller so it would hang properly on me. and now it looks really really nice :D
Not to be weird or anything... but so far i am really really proud of it.... 8D

Yes. I like it better than the embroidery. It looked crap and the wrong colour with the embroidery, but now with the paint it looks nice and the right colour :D From now on, painting is my thing ^^

Ok tried the embroidery. Didnt like it, so im going back to my trusty alternative PAINTING! :D

Whoop! Baught 2 meters of suade fabric and 4 rolls of embroidery thread. Its a little brighter than the actual embroidery on his shirt and overskirt, but against the black it looks really nice :D

Finished testing out the pattern for it. Found that it was a little too big, but if i make bigger seam allowances then it fits nicely ^^

Drew up some pattern peices today, using the patterns i had for my tail coat. Will be testing it out on some old bed sheets to see if it works ok ^^ should be getting some material for the main outfit on Saturday.

Did a quick sketch of parts of the embroidery (that i could see from the images) so i could easily plan it out on the fabric when i buy it, which should be this weekend. Hopefully....

Finished the base for the back gear. most akward thing EVER! D: had to fit it to my back which kind of hurt, because there was sharp peices of cardboards sticking into me D:

Tried out the make-up look from Michell Phan! Looks friggen awesome. Too bad i didnt take a photo :/ Really need some new brushes which my mum will buy for meh :D I also need the fake eye lashes too, not too big though....

Did a tester for the make-up today. Couple of mistakes, but it looks good :D The make-up im happy with. Just need to get the material nao ^^

Well i did say that this would be done in parts.... but no longer being at school, i have wayyy to much time on my hands. I finished the front part of the skirt and pinned it onto the bodice to see what it looks like. And before, when i didnt actually like what i had done so far, im really liking it nao :D

After finding that i had enough fabric left to start the ruffles on the skirt i did! Easiest bit yet!! :D I have the base of the skirt and one peice of ruffles done at the moment. Not gonna do too much today though. =w= Ive hurt my shoulder so it hurts just to even type. My luck huh?

Whoop! Finally got it to fit me properly. I had to sew in some creases/darts in the side to make it shape to my body, and i had to fold over the top back parts to make it shorter so it didnt crease as much.... im so glad im actually taking my time to make this one, because from what i have seen here its gonna be a real bitch to make ^^

Well ive got some fabric for the top part of the dress, and i have cut out the pattern i made for it. Im not too happy with it at the moment, seen as its too big, but im going to continue it later when its not to hot/humid and see if it comes out fine ^^

Finally got the material for the coat and sash >w<. Got everything cut out and sewn together today too, talk about fast worker....
Should have another £20 in my bank by the end of the month, so i will be buying my wig then so it has enough time to get here before the convention.
