I'm quite new to the cosplay scene, but I'm slowly learning, and have enjoyed starting to make my own costumes, rather than the bought things I've used before. I always enjoyed dressing up as a child, but I started to cosplay properly before my first MCM expo - what I thought would be an easy costume to get hold of (I would never have imagined it would be so hard to find a plain black hoodie) and have been wanting to do more ever since! I have now made 3 costume parts, and looking forward to expanding my repertoire, especially given how amazingly successful the coat for my Tenth Doctor cosplay was.

The thing I've most enjoyed about cosplay is the people I've met, and the fun times I have with others cosplaying from the same fandom.

Conventions I've attended:
London MCM Expo May 2010 (Saturday - The Master, End of Time version)
London MCM Expo May 2011 (Friday, Saturday, Sunday - The Tenth Doctor)
Entertainment Media Show (Collectormania) October 2011 (Sunday - The Tenth Doctor)
London MCM Expo May 2012 (Friday - Tenth Doctor, Saturday - Lucy Saxon, Sunday - Ravenclaw student)
London Film and Comic Con July 2012 (Saturday - Ravenclaw student, Sunday - Tenth Doctor & Lucy Saxon)
London Film and Comic Con July 2013 (Saturday - Tenth Doctor & TARDIS)
Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Celebration, November 2013 (Friday - Tenth Doctor)

Maraieth - The Doctor - 4th November 2013

Just attached the sleeves to my coat, and am so pleased with it so far - collar and lapels, and sleeves turned out beautifully, which I'd been worrying about, so lining and buttons. Major buttonhole practicing needed, as I do not intend to let all my hard work go to waste by ruining them! Aim is to be finished by the 50th anniversary weekend!
