I have been cosplaying since I was 16, entering lots of competitions and getting very serious about it. I used to cosplay (usually obscure) characters I loved to a super accurate and obsessive level, as you can see from my mermaid costume. I went on diets and spent a lot of money and got very upset when my efforts were not appreciated!
These days I like dressing up in silly clothes and being a beautiful fairy. I don't take it seriously and would rather my costumes were nice to look at rather than super-accurate.
I also love decora fashion, one of the many past fashions associated with Harajuku in Japan. It isn't really popular in Japan now, but I think it's fun to look at and will keep doing it until they stop letting me into Claire's Accessories because I 'scare the normals'.
The photos I have uploaded are a small collection of my favourite and most silly costumes to date.
