We also occasionally use this to inform everyone of any major site changes. Cosplay World Masters UK representative chosen

The UK qualifier for the Cosplay World Masters was held last weekend, and Kenny Cosplay was selected to go through with his CHAPPIE costume.

Kenny told us, "I'm over the moon in qualifying! I will definitely up my game to match the intense competition and hopefully I will do the UK proud!"

Congratulations Kenny, and please join us in wishing him luck in the finals in Portugal on the 24-25th October!

UK Eurocosplay and CCCC reps chosen

The first UK Eurocosplay entrant was selected at the recent MCM London Comic Con. Please join us in congratulating Lewis of Wrath Creation Studios for qualifying in his superb Lich King costume from World of Warcraft.

Also deserving of congratulations are Felixize and Emzone who qualified for the Clara Cow Cosplay Cup in their beautiful Celes and Relm costumes from Final Fantasy VI.

Well done to all three of them, we can't wait to see how you do in the finals!

MCM London masquerade entry open!

The MCM London Comic will be running a Cosplay Masquerade on both the Saturday & Sunday of the show (24th & 25th May), and each day offers you the chance at fantastic prizes & to represent the UK in an international cosplay competition!

Saturday is sponsored by Viewster who are offering a prize which includes an £800 cash sum for the winner who will be selected as the UK EuroCosplay Championships Finalist for 2015; second place will include £400 & third place £250.
Sunday is sponsored by Sanrio who are offering a prize which includes a trip to Puroland in Japan for the winning duo performance who will be selected as the UK Finalists for Clara Cow's Cosplay Cup in 2015.

ECG UK Qualifying event to be held at EGX

The UK qualifying event for the European Cosplay Gathering has been announced! This years' qualifiers will be selected at EGX, on September 27th, at the Birmingham NEC, so start planning and making your costumes now for a chance to represent the UK at the ECG Finals in Paris next year. One pair and one solo cosplayer will be selected.

EGX is investing in a larger cosplay stage and cosplay area to accommodate ECG in their first year of hosting the qualifiers. The contest is open to all styles of cosplay (not just games). Entry is open to contestants who either have a UK passport or have lived in the UK for 5 years or more and will be aged 18 by 1st July 2016.

Cosplayers are recommended to buy their tickets in advance as the show often sells out. However, cosplayers who are registered as ECG contestants only need buy an afternoon ticket for Sunday as they will be upgraded to early entry free of charge.

There will be a 3rd big cosplay contest at EGX announced soon, which will be gaming themed!

Eurocosplay 2014 video and 2015 qualifiers

The EuroCosplay team have put up the official video for last October's finals, so you can relive the fabulous skits and costumes to your heart's content - or, if you couldn't make it, see them for the first time.

If watching the video has got you fired up to try entering yourself, the UK qualifiers will be held at London Comic Con on the 23rd May and at Manchester Comic Con on the 25th July.

LSCC and London Super Costume Championship

Convention season is starting up in earnest again! This weekend sees
London Super Comic Convention taking place at the Excel Centre in (surprisingly enough) London, which will feature the London Super Costume Championship. This competition has a great prize and is judged by well-known international cosplayers Yaya Han, Kamui, and Bill Doran of Punished Props, so it should be pretty intense and definitely worth a watch. There will also be an "Open Masquerade" for those who want a slightly more relaxed cosplay competition.

2015 WCS UK qualifiers selected!

The Hyper Japan Christmas market last weekend featured the selection of the new Team UK for the World Cosplay Summit in Japan next year. Join us in congratulating CI members The-Ominous-Truffle and Noa who qualified in their beautiful costumes of Miaka and Yui from the classic manga/anime Fushigi Yuugi.

WCS Qualifiers at the Hyper Japan Christmas market

The WCS UK representatives for next year will be selected at the Hyper Japan Christmas Market held this weekend. Good luck to all those entering, we can't wait to see who'll be representing us in 2015! Eurocosplay finals!

London MCM Comiccon starts on Friday, and the event will feature the Eurocosplay Championship finals on Saturday! Support our UK representatives Kei Lin Sama and Lilskaii as they compete against 40 other finalists from a total of 26 countries. The show is scheduled to start at 17:00 in Theatre A, or if you're not able to attend the event, it will be streamed here.
