One of our main goals of this site is to make it simple to use, but of course some things that appear straightforward to us can easily be misinterpreted by others!
Below is a list questions that we’ve been asked enough that we think they deserve a page! If the answer you are looking for isn’t here PM a Site Admin (details on our about page) your question or drop an email through to email@example.com. Don’t be shy!
How do I add an avatar to my account?
To add or change your personal avatar:
- Log in, and click 'Account Settings' in your side menu.
- You'll find the option to add an avatar under Picture options.
Please note that your browser will more than likely cache your previous avatar, so if it doesn't look like it has updated do a hard refresh (CTRL & F5) to see if that works, before contacting an admin.
How do I change my username?
While logged in, you can change your username at any time by clicking 'Account Settings' on the side menu. Please note that any offensive usernames will not be allowed and accounts can be banned at our discretion following a warning!
Why can't I upload any more than 12 photos?
We decided that a total of 12 would be an adequate number of photos to be able to upload and present your costume well. This allows you to give several different views of your costume and at the same time persuades you to pick quality over quantity. You are allowed any mix of reference pictures, progress pictures and completed images in this limit - although we definitely suggest you use the journal feature for in-progress pics, as it's a great way to show off the creation of your project and there is no image cap for journals.
How do I delete my account?
Deleting your account must be done by a Site Admin, you can find the contact details for us on our Contact Us. Please note that with account deletion no data is recoverable, so please be sure when you make your request and save any pictures or information you may want to keep.
Can I help with the site in any way?
At the moment we’re a very small site with a small team, but of course the aim is to expand as much as we can, and provide all sorts of exciting content on the site! So just because we aren’t actively asking for people right now doesn’t mean we wont require help in the future. If there's anything you'd particularly like to join in with, drop one of the Site Admins a PM.
I've found something that's broken!
We always appreciate feedback which helps us to make the site a better place for everyone. This can be in the forms of bug reports, general feedback or suggestions of things you would really like to see on the site. You can do this via a PM to any of the Site Admin, or dropping us an email through to firstname.lastname@example.org.
