Madoka Kaname (Sailor ) - Puella Magi Madoka Magica

I fell in love with the circus and sailor designs that came out in the digital card game, and just have to make Madoka's! The sailor design looks cool and comfy, so it'll be perfect for a 'lazy day' at a summer event

HAT: I followed a tutorial and made this out of white bi-stretch and interfacing. The head-band is blue bi-stretch with white ribbon. I made the pompom from pink chunky wool!

TOP: Using a too-big t-shirt and a seifuku tutorial, I made this out of the same fabric as the hat and skirt. I wish I'd interfaced the collar, as it's refusing to lie how I want it! The pin is something I found in the drawer, and will serve until I find an anchor or a bugle pin. The tie is just pink jersey.
The undershirt is something I found in primark, as I just could not find pink-striped jersey that wasn't fluorescent pink!

SKIRT: Two half-circle skirts, one white and one blue bi-stretch. I found a gorgeous ruffly trim just before I went to expo, so I've used that instead of making a pleated ruffle. I love the buttons, I was so lucky to find little navy buttons with anchors on, and there were only 6 left! The braces are from Claire's (another lucky find)

Kyuubey's hat

By the miracle that is eBay, I have acquired a little captain's hat for Kyuubey! It was advertised as a ladies mini hat, so hopefully it'll be about the right size for a plush (I can cut holes for his ears if needs be). Now to actually obtain a plush...
