Sabriel - The Old Kingdom
| I chose this because I love the books, and having cosplayed Lirael last May I felt I should do Sabriel as well - maybe I'll cosplay Clariel next May as well! The hardest part was probably the bells, because, while my method of construction was probably simpler, it cost more and still isn't that stable (and I have no idea how I'll get them to stay on the holster....). The easiest part was probably the dress/overcoat, because I used the same pattern for both of them, had a sleeve pattern and was able to paint the keys on over one night! From this I learnt that I still suck at prop construction. NB: in the photos from the con, the mark I have on my forehead is indeed Clariel's - it was one of two temp tattoos I got when I met Garth Nix, the other one I'm saving if I cosplay Clariel next year. |
