Judar (Black/White with gold bands) - Magi: Labyrinth of Magic

Well I love Magi: Labyrinth of Magic, and I like the character so I've been making it. The costume itself is fairly simple, the biggest challenge I am facing is getting my body into shape. Judar's abs seem quite prominent and/or he's just really skinny. I am a normal build guy so this is going to take me some time, I plan to wear this at Wales Comic Con in April (Already have my tickets). I will post some pictures of me in this a few days before the Con since, I kinda don't want to post any pictures of me wearing something like this just yet.

Wow, I love Magi and this looks so awesome! (power to you for midriff baring as well, I would never be brave enough to do that!)

Fantastic costume ^^ love those gold bangles! How did you do them? ^^ I remember passing you at Midlands expo too ^^

The bangles I had to rope in a friend to help me with. The outside is like thi shiny gold material as you can see, but the underside is actually just normal yellow cloth. Between the two layers is some insulation and my friend used a sewing machine to define the individual bands visually but in actual fact it's all just 1 item. It has a velcro as well so I can take it on and off, I really can't take any credit for the bands as my friend Olivia did the majority of them for me.

Ahhhh that's fantastic! A very similar way to how I do my sailor senshi rolls for my sailor moon cosplays! I need to learn your friends talent :D They're so crisp and well done!

The bangles look absolutely amazing! Great cosplay - looks really accurate compared to the reference pic, too!

Looks cool! Did you make the wrist guards?

'fraid not entirely by myself Dax79, like I mentioned earlier I roped in my friend Olivia who is so much better at this stuff than me to help me with them. Following a tutorial she did most of of the sewing and all I did was pick the materials, cut them to shape and put in the stuff to bulk it up. I did originally buy them from one of the many Chinese cosplay websites but they were so bad and falling apart we made our own.
