Lady Oscar Jarjayes (Takarazuka) - Rose of Versailles

Complete

Kitacon 2014

Showcased 14th December 2014 What is this?

I took a plain red tail coat and made all of the embellishments such as epaulettes, sash etc. I like to bring my sword when I can, but many conventions have issues with full-length metal swords (can't imagine why!) I wasn't originally going to sport such high platforms, but my sword belt means my sheath hangs low enough that with any less height it drags along the ground!
I love Rose of Versailles but wanted a slightly more impressive costume to do than Oscar's anime or manga uniforms. I also love Takarazuka - so I decided to cosplay the best of both worlds! This is based on yukigumi's "Lady Oscar" performance.
