Costume Reference

I'm so nervous, but excited to cosplay Ivy! I really like her design in Soul Calibur 5 and it'll be a good challenge to construct her costume working with a variety of fabric. I found some great stuff to make the jacket from which I'm ordering in the next week or so, and I've already got the wig I ordered for her too. :) I'm really looking forward to this!
UPDATE: Put her costume on the back burner for now as I need to remake a lot of her costume due to storage complications and other problems

Shin guards progress 3 (Posted 13th January 2014)

I added metal press-stud buttons to the insides of the Shin guards to help keep them attached properly. I made the straps out of wonderflex to match the materials and also add strength, I was considering craft foam, but even after layering it, it was too weak to support the weight of the Armour, so I scrapped the idea. ~

Ivy shin guards progress 2 (Posted 13th January 2014)

Both the shin guards are now almost complete, each shin guard took me around 5 hours to mold and sculpt the details ~ It was very difficult getting them symmetrical, but I'm pleased with how they turned out.
All that's left to do on them is refine any details, add the bottom layer of Armour to the bottom of the shin guards, and give them a few coats of PVA, followed my paint to smooth them out.
The shoes I'm using here, are the shoes I'm using for Ivy (I'll make covers for them, and add the other details once the fabric arrives in the mail)

Ivy Shin guards progress 1 (Posted 13th January 2014)

Progress on Ivy's shin guards. These are made from Wonderflex thermoplastic. I was debating craft foam, but I couldn't add as much detail as I wanted to with it. Each piece has it's own pattern, and this was cut out twice to layer the wonderflex, and then attach them down in order onto the front of the Armour (The main armour piece is two pieces of wonderflex with craft foam in the middle)

Wig progress (Posted 21st December 2013)

These were the two wigs I was trying to choose between for Ivy. In some references her hair looks more white than silver and it others, the opposite way around depending on the light in the shot, etc. I think I'm going to go with my first choice of wig, the silver one as in the light it doesn't look too dark. I'll be styling it soon! :)
