Gorgeous. You are obviously a real Ballet student ..I love your hands - so gracefull ^_^
Oh my gosh you went for the bodice of doom! Well done, I dont know how you got it to stay put.
You shouldnt be put off cosplaying PTutu, I think you would easily be able to pull her off too. :)
Kitri du Lac - 4th September 2013
@nanahara - Thank you very much!
@ Ranma1-2 - Thanks for the compliment about my hands. I'm always getting told in class I have stiff fingers so it was lovely to get a compliment on them! Yeah I am a ballet 'student' in that I attend class 2/3 times a week, but I'm not in training to be a professional and I am no where near that level. I just do it for fitness and pleasure!
Ranma1-2 - 12th September 2013
..you have still earned your pointe shoes though, so that means you have put in Lots of love and dedication. :)
Speaking of hands, I noticed how Kraehe has an unusual pose with her arms above her head but hands actually pointing out - more like say Flamenco dance. Do you know of anywhere in the real world of ballet where that pose is seen? It is very dramatic and gives her a very imposing air.
Kitri du Lac - 12th September 2013
I know the pose you mean - it's my go to pose for photographs at cons. It's called open fifth (fifth indicating the hands above the head, and open indicating the hands are outwards). I have to confess I've never actually done it in class as it is a very...violent position really. I can only recall seeing it used in some Swan Lake productions during the entrance of Odile, albiet with one arm as she's holding Von Rothbart's hand. There's a really pretty example of it here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YT334WsfBIU
Thank you so much for the compliments! Achieving my pointes was a dream come true.
Ranma1-2 - 13th September 2013
Aha thanks for that. Yes hands are so full of language in dance. Yes that pose does seem violent somehow. Very dramatic. I'm sure thats why they have Kraehe doing this as her entrance pose. Although we find out she is not really a villain like we first assume. I really love PTutu anime. It is so full of ballet language and the story is so touching. I cried real tears. ^_^
I need to get the full version on DVD.
