Fëanor - JRR Tolkien's Silmarillion

Fëanor was the eldest son of Finwë, the High King of the Noldor. Most gifted of the Elves of Valinor. Fëanor is best known as the creator of three gems, the Silmarils. As with most of the Elves of this time his story is a tragic fall from grace, although his own arrogance played a large part in this. His passionate hatred of Morgoth and terrible oath led directly to the great triumphs and tragedies of the First Age.
