The Great Saiyaman (Shades/Bandanna) - Dragon Ball Z

The black portion of this costume is made from a simple morph suit, which I already happened to own. The hood was cut off, and the fabric folded inside before being stitched to give me a turtleneck. The boots I already had as well, they were originally black but were spray-painted white for this costume. The cape was a lucky find from a market stall in Leicester. It was already the perfect size, and was not adjusted in any way from what I bought.

The belt was a random find during a trip around shopping centres in Staines. The buckles were torn off and Velcro was glued to each side to hold it together. The three buckles were cheap birthday badges which were painted white before being given two coats of yellow. The gloves were your standard £1 pair of washing up gloves, which were turned inside-out and spray-painted white.

Gohan's shades in this costume are actually a standard pair of 3D glasses handed out at Odeon cinemas. The 3D markings with covered with a black sharpie.

The bandanna was a simple cut from a piece of white fabric I already own, which was then tied into place on the day.

The most difficult part of this costume was the green tunic, because the material was slightly stretchy and thus uncooperative with the sewing machine. +1,000,000 girlfriend points to my partner for assembling this particular aspect for me!
