Information

I have chosen to make a Pokemon Zoroark (Gijinka) costume but a feminine version (seems majority of Zoroarks are male) I love researching in depth and the use of special effects so many surprises are on their way :D

I notice you're going to dye your hair for this, would it not be easier just to get a wig? xx Looking good so far, will look out for it. (:

Hiya trifling xx thanks for commenting x yea I guess it would be easier but I usually have my hair bright red so I thought to be more dramatic I'd use extensions(making myself from lengthy bulk loose hair) instead x I wish I could share my ideas in my head better xx will upload a more detailed pic with tweaks I've made xx

For ease I think I'm actually going to take ur advice and use a wig I reckon because I've got to use rubbing alcohol and acrylic dye to dye the tips black and would be easier to style and have ready styled to get ready quicker on morning of expo x plus I wanna enter masquerade with my partner being Zekrom x

Aweeesome. :] And yeah its much easier to style a wig than it is to totally alter your hair. Plus you dont have to wash out hairspray or gel from a wig like you do with your hair, it can just sit on a wig head styled and ready to shove on. Takes like 5 minutes. ;3

Thanks, i did weigh up my time and cost and things and thought hmm yea i think i best take that advice x do you have any site recommendations/ styling tips? X thanks again Trifling x

If you're looking for wigs you dont have to ship from like China or the USA, then coscraft.co.uk do wigs. They're based in the UK. Ebay are good for wigs, the caps tend to be a little on the smaller side though. And there's always US wig places, like http://shop.cosplay.com/wigs.html which is cosplay.com's wig store. If I remember right they ship worldwide... As for styling tips, I don't really know as I don't much have to style my wigs, haha. Could be best to ask on the forums here. (:

Aww thanks xx think ive found my wig on a us site but what were you saying about the caps being small? X should i measure the circumferance of my head? And do i need to but a wig cap?

Trifling posted on 15 May, 2012 - 10:53
A lot of the time wigs will come with free wig caps but if it doesn't, they are dead cheap. In my experience its just Ebay wigs that have the small caps. You could ask the site your looking at how big their caps inside their wigs are and measure your head to be safe though if its concern ;) xx
