21st October 2013: cloak Made a green cloak with a hood to go with this out of an old skirt!!
Thought the outfit was too white and boring :p
11th October 2013: Adding another maze (on waist this time) After consulting with the other card captor cosplayers I am adding a maze on the waist of the dress. Quite messy but I'll still wear it, can't be bothered with freezer paper because I'm lazy!!!
Not sure what wig to wear -brown (can be seen in Hikari pics) or my green Gumi wig (seen in Gumi pics).
Also I don't have shoes for this as such. I have black pumps I could use but I'm not sure if it's worth buying new shoes!!!
15th September 2013: Painting :/ Wow so the painting is a lot harder than I expected it to be. Had to cut my Maze pattern down massively as it was just too big to do, also having all kinds of issues with the paint like smudging and expanding etc.. So the pattern is full of mistakes, I have also made the maze a bit wonky :p (A true sign that it is a work of mine as I always make stuff wonky).
So this costume should be completed on time, it may just look really bad :p
5th September 2013: starting the maze... Decided to buy a white dress to paint a maze pattern on, bought it and have designed the maze :) the next step will be to paint the maze in the dress and then to perhaps make a shawl or belt to break up the white on the top part of the dress. I also needs to decide on a wig and shoes ^^

Yaaay, Maze! I'm really intrigued at how you'll be making this, will be interesting to see!

Wow the Maze card - I don't think I've ever seen this cosplayed before. Really cool concept with the bodypainting - looking forward to seeing how it turns out :D
KiraraYumi - 15th March 2013
I'm super curious to see how this is going to look! Looking forward to seeing it! 8D
Siouxsie James - 15th March 2013
Thanks, I'm also curious O_O lol it could go well or not so well! I'm hoping to start it once I finish Uni, been looking at nice white cotton dresses for a start and thinking of painting a green maze on top! Also thought about having brown hair pig tails and maybe a leaf-tree-bush head piece thing on, not really sure yet!!
Mr. Sat-Ash - 15th March 2013
If it makes you feel any better, I'm curious about how well (or how badly, as it's me) my facepainting for Kinkotsuman will go. ... That and the whole "Am I unintentionally being racist doing this" problem... At least you don't gotta worry about that, huh?
Siouxsie James - 15th March 2013
I don't think skull painting would be too hard 2bh as long as you have good paints, I'd suggest painting your face white and adding black to the smaller areas afterwards?? *avoids possible mixed messages of your facepaint?* :P
blackorcid - 18th September 2013
I can't wait to see this in person :)
i'm pat of this group too :) i'm making the fight and the shield :)
Cy-Fi - 24th September 2013
My only worey would be that the patern is to small and tightly worked, rather than being clearly a maze, it might look like a patent border to the dress. Prolapse it could be made much bigger, the walls made thicker and the gaps enlarged. Perhaps a larger maze on sum material that laces around your bady or a sash/tabard ? I very much like the idear of the tree at the centre of the maze being a head dress or styled wig. I hope this is helpful :)

From constructive criticism thread:
I can't actually see any flaws from the photo, but you wrote that painting the maze design is giving you trouble. Two things for you to try when painting fine detail might be
1. Freezer paper stenciling
2. Transfer paints
I think it looks great! These are only tips to make your life easier next time you do some fabric painting ^^
Siouxsie James - 25th September 2013
Thank you both so much :) very helpful!! I was looking at the pzttrn on the dress and thinking it looks too small, I defo think I need to paint more!! Looking into freezer paper as I write!! :)
Mr. Sat-Ash - 25th September 2013
Looking great so far.
Silantre - 16th October 2013

Carmina - 17th October 2013
I love the concept and progress is looking really good!
Siouxsie James - 17th October 2013
Thanks guys, it's really simple, not special at all. I just wanted to contribute to the Clow Card group :p
Cy-Fi - 20th October 2013
I think you should go green on the wig, as this will tie the whole thing together.
Siouxsie James - 21st October 2013
Might have to go with brown now, as I made a green cloak for this!! (felt the dress was too plain)
Freyarule - 2nd November 2013
You were a perfect Maze card! Such a good interpretation of it <3 I loved meeting and hanging out with you properly this expo!
Siouxsie James - 2nd November 2013

Mr. Sat-Ash - 3rd November 2013
Squee. The finished article looks awesome.
Lady Bahamut - 5th November 2013
I really loved your Maze Card interpretation! I really should have sat down and solved the one at the bottom of your dress 8D And the fact that you got some photos by those bushes work really well as it looks like you have a real maze there! :D
BlueberryTale - 8th December 2013
Love the concept you came up with for the Maze card. You did a great job!
