I don't usually pay much attention to vocaloids, but I fell in love with SeeU pretty much straight away, she's so cute and cat like. She was my first non-Zelda related costume!

Finished Skirt (Posted 17th March 2012)

On my 3rd attempt I finally got the hang of pleating and managed to finish my skirt, with the help of this wonderful tutorial which I found on Kawaii_Princess's costume:
I also changed my card pieces to 1.5 inches for smaller pleats; the ones in the video didn't look right for SeeU XD

I realise there's no gold on it, and that's because I used all my ribbon up, and having the ribbon on before pleating stopped the pleats from ironing in right ;_;
I'll have to find a way around this problem and try add it now that it's done XD

Only bits and pieces left to make/alter now so I'm starting to relax a bit now.
Currently hand-sewing the PVC because my sewing machine doesn't agree with it OTL

10 Days to Go! (Posted 14th March 2012)

Here's the beginnings of my SeeU shirt, finally.
When I first started this costume I honestly didn't think I'd be wearing it to SunnyCon, I really underestimated how much time I would need and how difficult this would actually be. Luck seems to be on my side though because I'm actually getting somewhere with it now and if this keeps up I'll definitely have it in time.

I still need to do a lot of work on the black at the top, and I'm dreading it because I have no idea how to make collars XD
As for the orange part of the top (which isn't actually that dark IRL) I just need to shorten it a little, finish the details on the bottom and maybe put a zip in the back XD

The buttons, as it turns out, are far to small, so I'm not sure whether to try my hand at making my own or just keep these ones, since they are well made.

I've also finally gotten the hang of pleating, after having some trouble making the skirt. However I'm likely going to scrap what I have a re-make it so the skirt is neater. Just over a week left to finish this, eeeek! D;
