Iwai Takuto - Gakuen Heaven

Status :Complete

Kinda cheating with this cos the shirt and the trousers are the same as for my Naruse cosplay...well, it's the same thing! XD

Gave up trying to find a red blazer to customize--I ended up making one. It is probably the hardest thing I've ever made! It was really fiddly and confusing despite having a pattern and instructions; I was practically tearing my hair out over some stuff!

The wig was easy, in a way, but a completely new experience for me! I'd bought a gorgeous silver wig from cog marc on ebay but when it arrived it was straight, whereas the photo on the auction looked slightly wavy. I ended up following an online tutorial to put a wave in the wig (using rollers and a hair dryer)
This is the tutorial I worked from, it was useful!: http://amphigory.com/wig_how_to_curl.html
At first it was bouncier and curlier than I wanted (like a horror from the 70's!) but after spritzing with hairspray I was able to flatten it a bit.
Would totally have bought a more suitable wig but having scoured the internet this was the only one I could find!

Wigs (Posted 15th June 2009)

Today I finally styled the wig for this cosplay. I'd previously bought one from cog marc on ebay and it was gorgeous quality and a great colour--only a lot straighter than the one in the picture in their ebay shop. Still, I wasn't going to complain since I knew synthetic hair could be styled.

I used this tutorial to put a wave into the wig: http://amphigory.com/wig_how_to_curl.html
At first the wig turned out curlier than I wanted, but once I'd combed it through and sprayed with hairspray it was a bit flatter, more like I was after for this cosplay!
