| CIEL. IN HIPSTER GLASSES. I obviously fell in love with this outfit the minute I saw it. Really simple to do - got the cardigan and tie from Primarni and am in the process of altering them. Got grey trousers from a charity shop too, just have to add the turn-ups. Using my Hinata cosplay's shoes (I wanted some with tassles, but they're all too dainty orz;; ) and my Tamaki shirt... And obv, DEM HIPSTER GLASSES. PFFTTT. O ciel, u nerd ;D ~ Fabric paint works pretty well on silky ties 8D *impressed* I got a fabric marker to draw on the red line (after realising machine embroidery wasn't going to work pfftt;; ) and the buttons were easy enough to sew on. Dat patch was made and sewn on the friday morning before we left for expo :| ULTIMATE LAST MINUTE OTL;; Dem turnups. Ohmygod. I made what should have been a 10 minute job into a 2 hour war with this pair of trousers. I cut them off, for some reason D: Why did I do this? So then I had to hem them, sew them back on inside out, proceed to mess this up about 3 times, realise they were puckering the rest of the trousers, take them all in, then stitch them up so they actually stayed turned up OTL OTL OTL;;;;;;; I swear, it's little mistakes like this that make my cosplays take absolutely forever :| *idiot* But either way, this version of Ciel was fun 8D I was hilariously ooc the entire day;; But randomly managed to get a bit in-character for the shoot C: Dem hipster glasses were fun xD BUT AGGHHH THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE WHO COMMENTED ON MY LACK-OF-EYEPATCH >8| Goddamnit he DOESN'T HAVE ONE in the original artpiece!! He just covers it with his hair like the emo/scene/hipster kid that he is. But I was seriously wishing I'd just worn a medical eyepatch or something because I got so many comments on this D8;;; Oh and dem rings. I couldn't for the life of me remember which hand was which ring pffttt;;; I got it wrong I think but ahh I don't even care anymore xDD I WAS BEING NON-CONFORMIST, KAY?? Oh and as this is the first time I've worn Ciel to a con, this was pretty much a test run for the wig (to see how it looks on many cameras in various lighting), and I've decided it's too blue for my tastes :/ Good for an anime-accurate colour, but I wanted something a little more grey. so I'll be selling this in the near future (after a little more styling touchups/a nice wash)~~ Oct.expo will have a different wig with it's Ciel xD |
