Arwen (Chase Dress) - Lord of The Rings

Well I need this for November 2011 but I still can't decide which one to do. I've had a look at Chase as I've always wanted to make that, also looked at maybe making a requiem dress variation in a different colour but again undecided.

Update: 27/04/2011 - Well I think I'm pretty much chosen on doing the Chase dress now. I have Simiplicity 4940 so will be using AlleyCatScratch's website to modify it. Hoping to start on a mock up soon for this. Also thinking of getting a different wig as not liking the other one I got.

Looking good. Yes, I agree that the wig you've been sent is shorter. One way to make it longer is add extentions to the wig. You can do it quite cheaply.

Any ideas as to how I could straighten it a bit as well?? It so curly.

I love the chase dress, I remember it took me weeks to work out the pattern for the sleeves! Using the Simplicity one will be much better ( I went through a phase of wanting to do everything myself...mad!) I look forward to seeing it

I'm really looking forwards to doing Chase as its one I've always wanted to do. And if I get chance might even take it to the yard with me and get some pics on Tillie. Can imagine all the other liveries thinking I've gone mad lol. Still looking for a suitable wig too not sure I like the one I got.

I hate to say it but that looks like a different wig to me too >_>. I'm sure you'll be able to fix it up though!

Funnily enough I thought exactly the same thing when it arrived. The wig on the head form goes to just under its breasts and on my it sits well above. I have a few other wigs I'm looking at, at the moment on ebay. Wish I could get the one I have for my LotR OC character in brown but they only do it in blonde, black or white :(
