Hello Pookie I hope you enjoy the cast of your head. This will look awesome with a captial K (even though awesome doesn't contain a k, it is awesome enough to surpass this problem)

Man, the progress so far is freakin' radical! The make-up is wonderful and the cast-head? Wow... Super excited to seeing it finished!

I love the head peice. i think it looks perfect only the front bit thats gunna go over your hair line i think would be better if it was really thin so it blends in? D: also is it just me or dose the clay look like its cracking a little when you try to mold it?

Vovea posted on 3 February, 2011 - 02:26
Yeah the latex is going get really thin at the front, cut it back then mold it while im actually wearing it. And hopefully that wont burn through the front of my head. Thankfully thats just the basic shape, still need to smooth it out with gel stuff before making the final mold of it :3

Skrim posted on 3 February, 2011 - 11:49
Good job on the head mold bro looks FREAKY COOL

Vovea posted on 6 February, 2011 - 13:01
Ty! ^^ I made it for a crappy wetsuit-Shepard I was going to cosplay, but changed it for my liara :']

LittleMissMetamorph posted on 28 February, 2011 - 23:52

Vovea posted on 15 May, 2011 - 01:23
Thank you. :3 I don't know, I didn't take many pictures of the construction and alot of stuff I did I did by accident ;] Plus I'm pretty sure theres much better mask making guides that are just about what I did aha

I am a huge ME fan and this is perfection! You should post tutorials at some point as I plan to cosplay an Asari in the future, though probably just a random one, and I'd love to be able to see step by step how you put it together!

Vovea posted on 25 July, 2011 - 22:43
I made a small guide about the headpiece the other night if it helps: Its a bit rambly but I hope it gives some indication ;D

Progress Journal

6th July 2011

I'm left just doing tiny parts of this costume now, which means I might ACTUALLY have it finished before everyone forgets what Mass Effect is. I finished dying the striped leggings grey, adding trims and stuff around the edges and making buckles for the back and sides. I also did a makeup test with the full headpiece which I'm happy to say doesn't look to shabby. A friend did some edits of some photos taken which I might upload to DeviantArt at some point, but I dont want to take credit for shoppin' skillz.

Hard parts

I've been putting of doing my costume for weeks now because I thought I had messed up but because of one night of insomnia, I got up and pushed ahead. I've uploaded most of the hard amor pieces which I've finished, included my wet suit shoes I sacrificed for the great good and the breast plate I had to edit so the top part would be more *accentuated*. The breast plate still needs to get a harness fixed around the back to stay on and will go over the embellishments you can see on the refs, plus the arm guards which I took a little artistic lisence (laziness) can easily be fixed with velcro straps. Also I fianlly found a use for the blue UV tubes which will go around the rim of the coat BECAUSE EVERYTHING LOOKS BETTER WHEN IT LIGHTS UP ;]

5th March 2011

Well, my birthday weekend gave me an almost broken right arm, meaning I'm unsure whether I'll have my cosplay done in time. My left hand isn't very creative. May have to change the event its gonna be worn at to October Expo D:

Got my white coat off eBay for just £1 (plus two pounds postage ¬¬). Dead comfy and is perfect for cutting so I'll be playing with scissors tonight.
Made my head mould and about to start sculpting the headpiece mould so I should die of chemical exposure in oh, about three days?
Plus ordered so much stuff this afternoon. Got some more Ben Nye body paint; cloud white, cosmic blue and azure blue (last one mainly for the lulz of "lower regions")

And oh yes! Wonderflex is my new favourite thing ever. I had so much fun playing at making legguards last night with a friend who ended up asking, "is this what you do when you're not at college? Really?"
Did I mention I love Wonderflex?

New Vegas and Cosplay

Kristie St-Awesome-amazing came around this afternoon and after playing three hours of New Vegas she then attacked my face with blue.
Gawd I love this stuff. Blue face paint means life without concealer... -wistful-
I'll be getting a darker blue version of the stuff from
tomorrow, hopefully.
Plus my grey leggings to go under the suit and armor arrived today.

Thank you to Kristie, you crazy diamond and Lucy (The American Kitty Cat) who posted all her spare makeup brushes. You guys are awesome!

Oh shi-

Ordered £20 worth of blue body paint only for it to show up in the wrong colour. Gah! Damn you crappy colour charts. Unless I want to turn up as a turquoise liara I have to buy more. QQ
Lipstick is pretty accurate; Barry M makes me smile
