Information

White turban, one of many in different colours that I bought for £1 each at an event some years ago. Mail shirt and a padded under jacket. Baggy red britches made for 17thC events and worn for all sorts of outfits since. Black jack boots, sword belt, and a steel left hand gauntlet, with soft leather gloves as protection for hands in combat. Balkan flintlock pistol worn in a red and gold silk sash. Various daggers and a sharp "yataghan" sword when off the field.
Put together out of the props box at home when invited to take part in the 2008 pirate festival with the lads and lasses of the Black Company, aka the Co. of Tabor.
Off the field, not fighting I often wore the Turkoman striped silk coat I also wore for Kelmarsh.

What a coincidence. Been reading about this guy and then your costume pops up on the homepage. Great to see and Barbarossa's story was really interesting. Nicely done.
