Storm (action costume) - Xmen The Last Stand

The base of this costume was bought on the internet but had to be heavily modified to be accurate.
I made the cape by fusing 2 layers of black/silver lame together and fixed it to the catsuit with poppers as they did in the film.
The wig was customised by adding black highlights with a permanent marker and cut to the right shape.
Gloves were hand made.
I wore dark foundation and white contacts.

It's perfect! I think she'd be honoured to see it done so well :-)

Even if she was, its still fantastic that you still done it since she's a dark skinned character, and I personally rate you incredibly high for that in the cosplay world :D I've been trying to experiment with lighter make up for lighter skinned characters but finding it a bit tricky hehe.

thankyou! I always felt a little odd, in that i didnt want to offend anyone of colour by doing Storm. I'd not attempt any of the comic Storm versions as she is very much African in look. changing skin tone is hard to get to look natural. I never went too dark as it just didnt look right on me, so i stuck to a dark foundation heavily blended on my skin. Going lighter can be even harder i think to look right. I dont have that problem as i am practically alabaster white anyway!:D

You are very much welcomed my dear :) I completely understand what you mean, and me being a person of colour, It made my heart leap with happiness that you done a dark skinned character perfectly and not just wearing the characters clothes, you truly are a wonderful skilled woman and cosplayer *hug* keep up the amazing work my dear :)
