Dame Vaako (gold reptile gown) - The Chronicles of Riddick

The fabric for this costume is the actual movie fabric. I was lucky enough to get a box full of it as it was all pieces that had been rejected because the print wasn't perfect..so i had to cut around the bad parts to get the full dress!!! As such some parts arn't as raised in design as other parts and eventually ill have to go over those bits with more latex paint and redo the scales!
The jewellery was a challenge. as at the time i made this, there were no real good closeups of the necklace tho i did find good ones of the belt. I searched for as many various pieces of metal jewellery, decorative belts..hell things from DIY centres to create her jewellery as thats pretty much what they did in the film!! There's also cast resin pieces to replicate shapes and fimo shapes aswell!
The shoes are custom painted to match the dress fabric
The hair is hand braided synth hair over a fine metal mesh frame and then pinned into my own hair which is wrapped into a bun.
I also have latex neck scars for the final touch!!

I have since sold this costume to my doppleganger in Germany ( she had the exact measurements i did at the time!)
