Billy Strings - Original Design

Billy Strings is another member of the Khaotic Emporium crew. He's a travelling showman originally from Texas. He travels with his prize puppet Roxie Parts.

The shirt and waistcoat were both made from scratch by me. The fabric for the front of the waistcoat is a stretch fabric that had to be fused to cotton. The beard is actually fake, though it's made of real hair.

This costume was worn for several performances in Kita's got talent this year, one where it came off. Feel free to check out the performance video!

Really enjoyed watching your Ame skit on YT. Costume - ..You make mens fashion interesting..mens fashion is Never intersting..how do you do it!? All I can say is You have style. It's yours. Please never exchange that for the boring dark drudgery which seems to have colonised the whole western (male) world. I think you know what I'm talking about. ^_^ Go Tab you are a breath of fresh air! btw I loved your cravatte that you were wearing in May too but I didn't get around to saying.. :)

Bloody hell, that front fabric is outstanding! (Nice matching of the bias too) I especially liked the violin-body-esque lapels. Also clever idea on the puppet mouth marks, they really emphasised that character!

KhaosKreator posted on 5 September, 2010 - 11:53
@RanmaSyaoran- The bias is actually made from the fabric used for the lapels. I find I almost never use pre made bias as it's pretty rare to get it in a good colour.
