Princess Leia (Darth Leia - Original Concept) - Star Wars

My own twist on Princess Leia, because though I love doing her original style I'd like to put a twist on it. I will be using my own hair to do the double buns (along with countless hairpins and cans of spray), and hope to make a hooded cloak and long black dress which will be worn with leather corset over the top. I will also be using my Darth Maul Force FX lightsaber, but only one half of it rather than the full double ender probably but I'm undecided - opinions welcome!

So basically, I'm doing a variant of her costume in the opening of New Hope. If anyone's going to LFCC as Han Solo they will probably be kidnapped and run away with! ;)

_UPDATE_

The original dress plan went wrong when my measurements came up too narrow, so last minute I ended up buying a short sleeve dress and matching the fabric up to make long sleeves from scratch, which had to be hand sewn because my machine broke. It took a lot of time and effort but when finally complete it was worth it. The neckline isn't perfect, and the hood is part of a store bought cape due to lack of time and working sewing machine, but I think the overall outcome for LFCC was done well. And hey, if Boba Fett (the old one) said I'm cool (he wrote "you're cool" on my autograph) then it must be good!

Also, the hair took about 15 hair pins each side, some of which I'm fairly sure were embedded in my skull when we were done! :p

Nice idea. Cosplay came out well, as you would imagine if Leia had been turned toward the Dark side. I am working on a Female version Vader at the mo. :P No pics yet, maybe in a couple of days when the breastplate is painted up.. btw it's no fair - your Maul Lightsaber is better than mine. T_T
