Queen 'Padme' Amidala (Parade Gown) - Star Wars - Episode One

Wow, this costume was fun to make lol

Me and my Nan worked together on this, and I'm soo glad with how it turned out, Firstly I spent like 27 pounds on different colored Organza for the petals, there was about 300 of them in all, The dress was ivory satin, same with the panel down the front, the pattern was drawn by my sisters boyfriend Lloyd "thank you!" and was painted by me with a goldish cream fabric paint, while the outline was done with silver glitter glue.
The parasol thing at the back was a pain, first we had to cut out some white circles and then we sowed little compartments to put the wire through, which took ages, we were up until midnight doing that.
And then the pattern was done with the glitter glue again.
The one thing I wish I had done better is the hair, I can't style wigs very well so I decided to use my own hair which wasn't long enough to do that interesting design she has.

All in all I'm very pleased with it.

OMG! I saw you in the hall and I lovd your dress! I kept trying to find you again to say so. It looks beautiful. So perfect! Like you've literally just plucked it out of the movie.

Met you briefly at the Expo in London, I never got the chance to say how fantastic your costume was. Good work and hope to see you at the next event.

This looks fantastic! I wish I'd been able to see it properly in person at Expo. All those petals are just stunning.

i love this costume!!! i'm a big SW fan and this has to be one of my top faves!! i'm not quite sure how it will turn out i'd love to try and make the hair piece for you if you would like, (no charge, I'd just like to try) I'd probably try to do it as a circular thing with a hole in that you could put your hair in a bun and poke it through the middle... i don't suppose you have any plans to re-wear this... to Midlands expo maybe (*cheeky grin*)

So gorgeous! It must've been fun floating around in that dress ^_^

Thank you :) ElegantAura - It was a lot of fun wearing it, but a pain as it was wet outside and the cloak got wet, and some people at the expo were very rude and kept bashing into it and the white bit round the head eventually broke and I had to take it off :( need to fix it a bit lol
