beautiful dagger! :3 Man, this costume is looking more and more epic for every progress picture you publish. :D Way to be an inspiration, mr.Xae! ^-^

I like your design update, definitely an improvement. Make sure you get some nice pictures of this!

ShiverZ posted on 30 April, 2010 - 14:30
I think I will fangirl out over this costume, mainly because I adore Werewolf the Apocalypse and werewolves in general, can't wait to bump into you (hopefully!) at the Expo ^___^ I especially adore the colour choice, not-to-mention the AMAZING glow in the dark rune-like armour. I just saw the hair too, stunning! I might have to pick your brains of how to start a suit like this, since I'd love to dress like a character from the Red Talons myself.

xaerael posted on 1 May, 2010 - 20:32
Red Talons are like... my #2 tribe ;D it was a hard choice between my wendigo-fianna cross, or a talon.

Holy crap, is there anything you can't do?! Amazing.

Pez posted on 26 May, 2010 - 19:30
Oh wow... this is so good I don't even know what to say! The teeth are made out of milliput? They must be pretty heavy then - but also sturdy!

xaerael posted on 26 May, 2010 - 23:53
yeah, they're milliput. i love how smooth milliput can get compared to other epoxy putties. they're not *too* heavy, the upper set was excluded from the head since they would have been out of view anyway do to the anatomical correctness of the basic structure of the muzzle. making the top set was really useful to get the gum spacings right though, since canids have a pretty big gap between their canines and premolars.

1st May 2010

[01st may update]

mind bogglingly close to finishing now.

need to make the plate for the back of the hand, tidy a bit of stitching up, consider the cape another 234987562934876 times and make a few more decos.

it looks.... amazing. so happy.

24th April 2010

[24th april update]

working with suede is officially the scariest thing i have ever had to do in costuming.

23rd April 2010

[23rd april update]

hell yeah, tons done in the time my PC was busted.

body: done.
underpadding: done.
neck: done!!

7th April 2010

[02nd April update] ~finally a final design?~

so, i think i've settled on a final design!

well, atleast till i decide i don't like how something looks again and get all pretentious and artsy... haha.

no prizes for where the loincloth was inspired from!

25th March 2010

[25th march update]

almost have all the materials needed! just waiting on a few bits and pieces from here and there. mainly an undersuit to build all the foam on and the remainder of the leatherwork bits (straps, buckles, D rings, etc)

there's still a lot to do, but with the main hurdles over (design process and material sourcing) it should be plain sailing from here on in!

.... said xae carelessly ^^;;

9th March 2010

[09th march update]

hands and feet (paws?) are almost done. bit of tidying here and there and they can go on the done pile.

27th February 2010

[27th feb update]

zomg head almost complete. few more tasks remain, the "special" bit needs doing, stuff.

19th February 2010

[19th feb update #2] (design preview!)

yup, it's a design preview.

enjoy!

19th February 2010

[19th feb update]

spent the last 2 days wefting hair.... AGAIN.

fortunatley, i have about 6-8 left to do, about 18 already made. far less than nina, and i seem to be a lot more proficient at machine wefting than i was last september time.

fur is currently winging it's way here, and i'm hoping to see it on my doorstep early next week...

15th February 2010

[15th feb update]

finally got the design down! hurrah!

work commences the moment i get materials...

13th December 2009

[december 13th update]

done a heck of a lot of work towards the costume now. designs and materials are all locked in, some parts are well underway beig made.

2nd November 2009

[project: start!] [November 1st update]

Wow.

When I added this as a costume, I was pretty excited. Now I'm creativley charged from rbw I'm ultra hyped up and raring to go.

I'm sort of planning a new thing for this really. Sort of a costume with it's own costume.

Excited yes. Revealing... No!
