| Well not just in reaction to this abysmal American bastardization of my beloved detective but also for Mr Jeremy brett memory I have endeavoured to cosplay the greatest incarnation of him *I dont beleive it to be basil rathbourne as most seem to* Jeremy bretts imortal performance in the 80s sherlock holmes series was stunning and inspired an I plan to cosplay Jeremy alongside Fishyfins who is cosplaying Dr John Watson from the series :) It will more than likely be his indoors outfit where most of his thinking is done. I have no particular event in mind this is purely something that we have both planned to do for awhile now lol and I shall try and do the best I can. keep an eye out for the victorian photoshoot coming soon, and if your a fan of sherlocks in any way drop me a line for a chinwag as I love meeting fans :) Luke |

Wow, I don't think i've ever seen a Sherlock Holmes cosplay - I look forward to seeing your interpretation of him ^_^ I've not seen any of the series' just yet (although my dad bought the box set the other day, it may have been the Brett version, i'm not sure...) but i've been reading the books and I love his character :) I will go to see the new version anyway, but I know i'm going to hate it...where are their Victorian morals? D:

Cause my Dad is a Sherlock Holmes fan and his TV is perminantly on ITV4 this is a costume I am looking forward to seeing :)

Even though Clive Merrison is the Holmes I remember fondest, I love Brett's portrayal too though :) Are you just going to do this for a photo shoot or will you wear it to expo or something like that?
If I can get a watson it will most certainly be for some event :) mabye just a choice photoshoot :) would love to do something footage based to never got a chance to play holmes in college XD

I like all adaptations but, you're right, Brett is the true Holmes (*wonders whether it would be too über-nerdy to mention that she has a pic of him up next to her X-Men poster...*)

Awesome! I'm working my way through a Jeremy Brett box set while I'm working on my own cosplays at the moment, nice to see a fellow fan! Looking forward to the finished costume!
I really must finish this, I have it all Im just waiting for a chance to take photos, as its not really a convention costume XD thanks alot! its really easy to watch the lame ass modern series but for the discerning fan its all about Brett :)
