Queen Esther Blanchett of Albion (Artbook Coronation Gown) - Trinity Blood

Status :In Progress
Worn At :Thought Bubble 2009

Information

I finally decided on my Thought Bubble costume, and I know I needed something that displays what kind of gaudy and ridiculous girl I am! So Esther's coronation gown it had to be.

I have officially developed a phobia of pearls and white fabric. However, I think it's going well ^^'

I also plan to wear this to the Grand International Cosplay Ball, as I think this would fit in there nicely ^^

THERE'S SO MUCH TO DO ON THIS COSTUME!!! I'm taking it one step at a time. I don't think it will truly be finished until May Expo next year! O__O

@Sephirayne- It will be my pleasure to have photographs... now I just have to catch you at an event in this costume! I'm not sure it's going to be easy, but I'll cross my fingers ^__^ @Silver- It's such a beautiful and unique design, how can anyone resist? Thank you for your kind words!! @SJBonnar, Demented Kid, x-Blade-x, limegreenjelly, TwilitWolf & Nanahara- Thank you all so much! I'm glad you like the costume! Hopefully I can continue to build on it and improve it as I didn't have much time to work on it. @Sonia- ... there will be bling. We shall blind the ball with bling ^^ @Ryukredapples- It was a fun day and there was SOOOOO MUCH there, whether you like small press, mainstream, or manga, there was a lot on offer and the pros were all really nice to talk to ^^ Hopefully you can make the next one. @Tab- I didn't make it from scratch myself, no, but I can make steel boned corsets when I have time! This one was HEAVILY altered from a sweetheart bodice plastic boned thing to a flat top steel boned, and I had to tailor the side panels so that it would give me the cylindrical torso that I wanted. Basically I have large bust and hips but small waist, and modern corsets rarely come in a 20" waist whilst accomodating for 36" bust and hips. I had to buy a larger size and slim it down. By heavily altered I mean I took it apart into 8 panels and rived out the polythene bones O__O Thankfully my sewing machine pedal didn't get stolen until AFTER I'd finished with the corset ^^' I hope the appearance is acceptable since it was really a rush job! I know I didn't tailor it properly because my hipbones hurt a little after wearing it, but maybe that's because I'm using a different type of flat steel boning and it's not as sprung as what I would usually use.
