Wild Arms group - I saw Avril, announced that the costume was pretty, and the next thing I knew I was assigned to it!

My first attempt at applique on the jacket worked rather well despite the silk attempting to fray, and in general I'm extremely pleased with how the jacket turned out. The dress was the bane of my life for a month and I ended up making two and heavily altering the second to make it wearable. Thankfully it was mostly covered by the jacket and therefore I got away with it, but a lot of swearing happened over that dress.

I also finally got to use my lovely Maple wig for an actual costume, which made me happy.

Whatever the problems with the dress were, they certainly didn't show. I've got a couple more photos in the same place if you want to help yourself.

Faaantastic! I love the fabrics you chose for this - nice and rich, but still suitable and not overpowering. It's all so neatly made, and of course the wig is beautiful. It really suited you too!

All the pattern work is so pretty. It was also a cunning use of capsules =)
