Todoroki Shouto (From ED4) - My Hero Academia (Boku no Hero Academia)

Todoroki Shouto is my favourite character of My Hero Academia, so I absolutely wanted to cosplay him! I went with the prince costume from the fourth ending of the anime, as I thought it looked the most interesting and would be a nice challenge to try and make :)

Planned debut: MCM Comic Con London October 2017

Today I made the white shirt of Todoroki's costume and sewed in the decorative lines on his jacket (not shown in image). I used a baggy shirt as a template for the shirt, added on sleeves and a ruffled collar to create the undershirt effect - a light, white cotton material was used.

Base Jacket

Begun Todoroki's cosplay today by making the base of the jacket. I used a fitted waistcoat as a template for the pattern and changed it according to the shape of Todoroki's jacket. Each section was made of two sheets of heavy duty cotton with one sheet of white fleece in the middle - to create a padded, weighted coat.
