Pokémon Trainer - Pokémon GO

| *This costume is now retired* Original Pokémon trainer design loosely based on my Pokemon GO avatar (first version before the update). I just opted to alter the leggings/shorts design and changed the yellow details to lilac to match the Pokeball symbol on the bag. Last minute casual costume that I started the week before AmeCon. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~Please see my journals for more details on the construction of this costume as well as progress photos~ The cropped jacket was bought on ebay and I added the blue trim and fastenings. The top was originally a dress that I altered. The leggings came from Asda and I added blue details using cutoffs from the top. Trainers were from Primark with the lilac stripes glued on. The bag and hat were bought on ebay and I added the Pokeball symbols to both. I used a plain ribbon for the choker. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I first wore this to AmeCon 2016 and had a lot of fun teaming up with Froggy's Professor Willow and at the Pokemon group meet. Sadly my gloves didn't arrive in time but even with my personal alterations to the design people could still tell I was a GO trainer (although several seemed to think I was just cosplaying Team Mystic). This is a simple and comfy costume that is good for casual days at cons and I enjoyed working on it. I might have to wear the hat and bag when I go Pokemon hunting at home! |
