Senior Designer for SEGA. Most significant achievement to date is multitasking EQII on the PC, Peep Show on the TV and a series of small fires in the kitchen.
I can barely sew on a button, but I'm not too shabby at painting, making models, props and the like.
I'm a very recent cosplayer, but if you asked me exactly how it started, I'm not entirely sure. I think the blame can mostly be placed at the feet of my other half. At some point he mentioned going to one of these conventions. We agreed that if you're going to go, it would be more fun to dress up, and it went from there.
Once we'd decided to go to the MCM Expo, there was no real question of who I was going to cosplay as. I've been a huge fangirl of the Final Fantasy series for more years than I can conveniently count, and VII is my personal favourite. I've always liked Tifa as a character, so she was my first choice. I had so much fun, I thought wouldn't it be cool if I was a character who had a prop as well, someone like... Ooh, Yuffie. Besides, a girl can't wear the same outfit twice in a row, can she? This is where it snowballed, and here I am.
My latest project has been a Final Fantasy XII Fran costume, which is my first attempt at making cosplay armour. Why I didn't start on something a little less complex is still a mystery. Version 1 has been completed, but now I've had a bit of practice, I'm fixing a few parts up ready for the next Expo.
