Personal Bio
I am studying Anthropology at Uni and recently got back from a year studying in Japan at Kansai Gaidai in Osaka. Like most people on here I'm a tad doo-lally with a terrible sugar addiction and hyper tendency. I think friendship is more important then anything and I love to meet knew people.
I have many passions for Photography, Japanese Language,novels,manga and anime,games (computer and table-top) and comics.
To be more specific I am technically an amatauer photographer (and no where near as good as the guys who attend every con like Nert and Pouncy) but I'm trying. (Was helping out Nert at Aya so any cosplay photos I took are on manylemons.co.uk)
I also enjoy cosplay (doing, photographing and researching - see blog http://iexistthereforeishouldnt.blogspot.com/). I love fantasy novels such as Terry Pratchet,Chris Wooding,Neil Gaiman,Alison Groggon. I like manga with good characters and story like Hagaren (Full Metal Alchemist),Death Note,but mostly Yotsubato!,Meteor Metosera (Immortal Rain) and the Demon Ororon. I like watching the latest anime although current all times favourites include Spice and Wolf,Toradora and Durarara.
As for games I love adventure RPG games like FFIX,Persona 3 and 4,Beyond Good and Evil,Jak and Daxter. As for table-top I love Scion,Shadowrun,Battlestar Galactica,and various mini ones like Pokethulu and I kill puppies for Saten. I'm a huge fan of the Fabels comics and am currently working my way through as much Batman as I can possibly find.
Cosplay Bio
I have been cosplaying since October Expo 2008 where I did Yuuki from Vampire Knight. It was such a rubbish costume that I got off ebay. So bad that I just wanted to create my own, and so I did and I've never looked back. Being able to make costumes is just so much fun. I haven't made too many because of lack of opportunities but I really try to push myself to get better and do better costumes.
Since then I've made (in rough order) a
FF White Mage and accessories for the Black, Blue and Red Made (it was my first group cosplay)
Aerith (KH version) (...which was shiiiite so you'll NEVER see photos)
Inara (Firefly)
Simca (Air Gear)
Nausicaa
Miho (MegaTokyo)
Alto (Macross Frontier) (First cross-play which wasn't very good -bought costume I did in Japan)
Horo (Spice and Wolf)
Ookami-san (Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakamatachi)
Jade (Beyond Good and Evil)
Many of these weren't that great and I don't have many decent pics for them. I really want to get better pics of them in the future. I would have also like to take progress pics of them but I suck so I haven't. I plan to take them from now on though.
