My name is Donna and I'm from Manchester UK.
I've always loved weird and wonderful hobbies and interests, and people too.
Cosplaying is a great way for me to show my individuality around my local neighbourhood and a great ways to meet new friends. If you'd like to talk or chat, please don't hesitate to contact me!

-What got you into cosplay?
By investing in a sewing machine and thinking to myself how I could have so much fun and take my artwork to a whole new level. I studied A Level Textiles and thought I would brush up on my skills again and try my hand at cosplaying.
-What was your first costume and why?
Alucard from Hellsing. The first costume I made with my sewing machine! I am not that confident about my body shape and feel I can pull of cross-playing more successfully.
-What is your favorite costume and why?
My Scorpion costume! I love the colour of it and he's my favourite Mortal Kombat character.
-Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Well, it all depends on how I look at the time. I'm finding it difficult to cosplay as a woman with black hair and glasses so I have to adapt my image to suit. Ruby Moon from Cardcaptors would be a wonderful challenge, or Sir Interga from Hellsing. And I'd like to try and cosplay as more male characters too.
-What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Without a doubt my first London Expo experience in October 2008. Such a huge event and made me feel at home amongst other cosplayers. Now I challenge myself every time to make new and exciting costumes.
-Do you participate in masquerades?
My first masquerade experience was at London Expo October 2009. It was pretty scary but being a ninja disguised all my fears!
-What was your best masquerade experience?
Well, I've only done it once! Maybe I can prepare next May 2010 if I can pull off my latest costume....
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
I've been photographed for a cosplay book to be published in the near future, and most recently, a Neo Magazine Cosplay Corner Award, and published in their magazine.
Tell us a little about yourself
I work full time, which can have its hindrances to making costumes really. I would love to spend all day making a costume, but alas, I cannot. I studied Textiles and Art and Design at College and Illustration with Animation at University and now I like to cosplay for fun. I've even talked my cousin and fiance into doing it too! I'd love to make more costumes, it's just the planning and making all the different parts that takes the time.
