Personal Bio
I'm currently a student at Hull university studying Digital Media. Im not sure what I will do when I finish, but I'm hoping it will be with an aunt in the film business or doing Special effects. At one point I was looking into going into Archaeology, as I really have a keen interest in history thanks to my Aunt and uncle who are also archaeologists, but that changed slightly when I became interested in Parapsychology and the paranormal. I'm still very interested in the subjects, but eventually media won out, as my parents sort of...thought the other two subjects were a waste of time given where I live. (which is basically a dump of a town with no job prospects.) So I'm doing media in the hopes of joining my aunt when I graduate.
I enjoy lots of different things besides cosplay, such as reading, films, music, performing arts, I could go on and on. I'm a real game fanatic at heart and I have far too many favourites to count!
I'm an avid RP'er and love to create characters, one of which is my oldest character who I made when I was twelve and still have him! I usually rp over msn, as I find it hard to find rp boards, so if you know any, sling 'em my way. XD
I'm pretty friendly once I get to know people, though I do come off as being a bit quiet when I first meet people, but this is purely because I'm shy and don't want to scare people off. Getting to know people is one of the things I lack skill in due to being shy, so please don't think its me being a prude, I just never know what to say! XD
Hmm, what else...I'm a WoW player, so if you're ever on Argent Dawn and want a levelling buddy or an annoying Fire specc Mage, message me for my character names! :D
Cosplay Bio
My first costume was Aeris waaay back in '97. I didn't know it was actually called cosplaying, all I was bothered about was dressing up like Aeris because I thought she was so cool and reminded me of my sister. XD
I saved up, bought a red denim jacket, made a badly sewn pink dress and paraded about the house thinking I was the bees knees. D8
A year later when I got into Final Fantasy 8, I made a Rinoa costume that followed me to college years later and was popular with some of the other girls. One of which wore it all the time at college and sadly lost the arm warmers to it during dance rehearsals. ;_;
It was around school in year ten that I heard the words cosplay and began to wonder what it was and what it involved. I was rather relieved when I saw how many people liked to create costumes aswell. I sort of let the subject drop though until, like I said, I brought Rinoa out in college. I'd not met anyone else who was into cosplay through out college and it was only by meeting someone called Bryhn in a store who over heard me and a friend talking about making costumes, that told us about London expo.
Information at last, me and my friend set about trying to get to a convention. I made my first proper costume attempt which was Link and although the tunic was okay, I didn't finish it off so it looked naff without the polo neck.
From there I cosplayed Marluxia and so on and so fourth.
I'm getting better at costumes, though I am not brilliant with a needle and thread. I don't think I'll ever be that great to be honest. :)
