Well first I saw you were doing this costume and thought 'oh em gee! yays!'
Then I look at your profile and see you are also in Staffordshire - I am too
then I see your Karate uniform and see that you're in Go-kan-ryu - So was I until last summer (had to go to uni :( )
AND my Dad was in north staffs hospital about a month ago!
