| Ailsa are you still planning on making this or one of the other listed Soul Calibur costumes? We're doing a small group for Ayacon which I'd love you to consider joining. |

| Ohhh I see. It's a very interesting project Ailsa. ^_^ I love these involved costumes which take us into uncharted territory! Experimenting is so much fun. |

| I don't need to worry about it fitting my head, as I'm not going to use it as a mask - it's going to be a fake head. As the character is about 7-8 foot tall, my head's going to be about level with his pectorial muscles. I'm hoping if I make the latex thick enough and then stuff it with something light it should hold it's shape. There's going to be lots of experimenting with is costume! |

| Ohh, good ole Plasticine. It's great stuff to model with. So you are lucky enough the wig stand is a good enough base to model onto and fits you (I had to make a complete head cast so I can do this sort of stuff).
Once you have latexed over the top I guess you then peel the mask off and ..somehow support the shapes from inside with foam sponge or something? Or will it hold its shape on its own? |
