Progress is looking cool so far. I'll be keeping an eye on this ;) How are you finding the expanding foam technique? It's something I want to try in the future.

Nono, I've used ready mixed filler from Poundland. Cheap, but it work very well.

plaster? like plaster-plaster? Isn't that just gonna shatter as soon as someone nudges it or whatever? plaster is great for decorative pieces, but on costumes I'd be terrified of it caving in if I dropped it or just looked at it funny

Question for you: What is the foam called that you used? I'm currently working on a MARK VI Recon variant for October and i'm just trying to keep my options open as to how to fill the empty space. Cheers, in advance :) Also, what do you do after you've foamed it? Do you just leave it or do you cover it or what?

also regarding the outlining, if you have the time I'd say test it out on the handplates and see if it looks any good

Interesting to see how you are building it - haven't seen that expanding foam method before but it looks really useful. Thanks for the wip pics.

Thanks. I'm not having to concentrate so much on detail for this at least since I'm basing it off of an anime spartan. But it should still look awesome. Just not sure weather to go for the full anime look and outline some of the panels or not.

Thanks. This is a paradoy really. I'm doing Spartan 1337 from the Halo Legends Anime "Odd One Out". The story of the Spartan 1337's misadventure after falling out of a pelican and being left alone to fend for himself. Animated byt the creators of DBZ. It's a great non-cannon LOL episode.
