Expo this weekend!

This weekend sees the return of the biggest event on the UK anime event calendar: the MCM London Expo. The show covers a whole range of cosplay events, including the second final of the successful Euro Cosplay event. And, with ticket pre-sales already higher than that of last MCM London Expo, this one is set to be the biggest yet. Read on for full details.
England had two entries for the Euro Cosplay final, Xaerael's stunning Skeksis and theKillingDoll's impressive Priss Asagiri. Portugal took the title last year, but I think it safe to say that England has a chance of being number one this year! Euro Cosplay is just the main highlight of cosplay events though, with the ever popular masquerade running on both the Saturday and the Sunday. The Totally Cosplay area offers talks on cosplay making and provides you with the tools to repair your costumes. It also has its own stage area for talks from various cosplayers, including Euro Cosplay finalists.
Aside from cosplay there will be a wealth of stalls selling all kinds of anime wears. DVDs, manga, props, t-shirts and figures will all be available. A number of independent artists will be showcasing their talents also, with small press manga and art commissions for sale. If you want a decent snap of your costume then many photographers armed with SLRs will be there. You can have your photo taken at the NEO stand for a chance to enter their Cosplay Idol competition, for more details click here - http://www.neomag.co.uk/news.asp?intID=1397
Sci-fi fans will be pleased to hear that cast members of Torchwood will be doing signings and gamers will be excited to get sneak peeks at Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Street Fighter X Tekken. Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 and a new Hitman title will also be showcased at Expo.
That only touches the surface of what will be at Expo at the London Excel Centre, which will also be running alongside sister show Memorabilia at the same venue for the first time. It should be a great weekend as always, even better than May due to the Euro Cosplay finals. Best of luck to Xaerael and theKillingDoll this Saturday!
