Re-creating a thread
So there's this thread I created sometime last year where I advertised my cosplay group. It's sort of died and I want to know if it's okay to re-create the thread, assuming that it's alright as long I get the thread deleted before I repost it again. I just want to do this instead of seeming like a spammer or something and bumping up an obviously dead thread. :/
If you need a friend, /text me/
If you need a hug, /ask me/
If you need some extra cash, /I'm just gonna go ahead and log off now/
Please do not disturb. I'm disturbed enough already.
It wasn't my fault! The voices told me to do it!

If it's last year don't worry about it. I posted up a "Star Drops/Idolm@ster" thing twice before during last year, and Angel Tear has just posted up once more (we're looking for more people).
You could just locate it an bump, if you're worried about that, but seriously, you shouldn't worry about it. As long as you're not making a new thread about it every month, you're not spamming.

I have a similar dilemma!
I have set up a couple of Ghibli theads and people come saying 'maybe' and nothing ever happens, it is ok if I keep trying to set groups up on the forums?? I don't want to annoy people

It's perfectly acceptable, we just don't want the same threads getting only bump posts every day. When you're talking weeks/months between bumping then it's very likely different people will spot it and be interested.
It's also good to let people know a group is still happening nearer the event it's planned for even if the thread has gone quiet.
