Okay so two weeks today I'm entered into a big Cosplay Masqurade. Its my first ever one and first time cosplaying at a convention too.

Please, any faults you can find with my cosplay tell me. Anything you would do better reply and tell me.

I've done Yuki Kuran from Vampire Knight. I did her at the end of the second series of the Anime where she turns into her vampire self so I'm unsure if she is Yuki Kuran or Cross. Anyways here is the cosplay ( reference in the link )

I have re done the bow since this picture was taken and it looks accurate now.

If anyone has any masqurade tips or anything, plz? tell moi because I'm really nervous and litterally shitting bircks right now. ) thankieeessss

First of all, don't panic! Your costume looks amazing, your prop is impressive and I'm sure you'll do great!

Just take some deep breaths and think about your character - sounds a bit weird, but the best cosplays I've seen always seem to have similar mannerisms and postures as the character they're playing. Just pretend you're her! (Well, you are doing that already, but you know what I mean!)

The cosplay looks great. My two tips for masquerading would be:

1. Pick a few poses that suit the character and practice them in front of a mirror.
2. Time will pass more quickly when your on stage. In order to allow people time to take photos count slowly to at least ten whilst you're holding your pose on stage.

It is nerve wracking, particularly the first time you do it but you'll be pleased with yourself once you've done it!

Your costume looks brilliant and like everyone said just enjoy it. Also remember that everyone is there to see you on stage. The audience wants to see your outfit so don't be scared or worried about them Masquerades are so much fun and the adrenaline rush you get after is amazing. The adrenaline is your bodies way of helping you perform so enjoy it and turn the nervous energy into enjoyment

Yeah. You guys are right. I should just enjoy it. I guess I'm just thinking about wanting win and stuff and I mean, honestly who wouldn't? Even if they didn't show it.

It's a really well made costume and your prop is so awesome! You should definitely take the time to work out a routine that shows off your prop- perhaps watch it and recreate one or two of the moves she does with the weapon to transition between poses? A mixture of posing and being in character with action always seems to go down well!

Just try to enjoy it and relax, people are sure to be impressed with your work and how well you pull Yuki off! ^^
