Working on Arkham City Scarecrow. Advice?
Hey guys!

So I just purchased all of this from Amazon and I'm praying nobody will put me on some kind of 'list' now

This will be my first cosplay ever and I'm planning on showcasing it at iSeries next month.

For a noobie trying to achieve this, could you give me any advice?

Very interesting choice! Are you intending to do the full head 'mask'? If so burlap seems the best choice for look but i'd line it with something as its notoriously horrible to wear. Is there anything inparticular you were looking for advice on??

Aye, I've helped my friend make her scarecrow, so I can help quite a fair bit.

If you go with burlap, you should line it. But if you get a paint gas mark thing, it should keep the burlap far enough from your face not to irritate it.

Agreed, burlap is pretty nasty stuff to have against your skin. There is an alternative though, a material called cotton scrim that has a smiliar look as burlap but is much softer and easier to work with.
I'm currently working on a Scarecrow: Year One costume and have some to use for that.
