Hi there!

Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself, this is my first time joining a cosplay forum!

I'm pretty new to cosplaying in general, I debuted my first costume at Thought Bubble in Nov 2012 where I dressed as Marian Hawke! (one of my all time favourite video game costumes) I had an unprecedented amount of fun.

Me and my boyfriend make costumes together and enjoyed TB so much we decided we had to find more events to attend this year!

I haven't been cosplaying for too long either, just a couple of years now.
How was thought bubble? I'd love to go to it but I was busy for the last one and couldn't attend!!

Thanks for the warm welcome. Thought Bubble was great! I've been going for a few years now and it's wonderful how it's grown. The cosplay masquerade was ace, the room we were in made it feel cosy and there was a lot of crowd participation!
Which events have you been to? Any you would reccomend?

I've been to MCM London (only the October one not the May one) that is 100% worth visiting but be warned it's MASSIVE and can be claustrophobic and overwhelming for some people. Very interesting though and a lot is going on. If you go to the October one you can watch the Euro cosplay which I haven't done yet but I really want to.

I've also been to a few smaller expos such as Cardiff Comic Con and MCM Midlands. They're good if you like smaller, cosier events, I love the social feels of these type of expos. It can depend though in my opinion Cardiff is well organised but is a little too small, it could grow a little and wouldn't lose much. And Midlands was a good size but I hated Telford because people were rude to me, it's all based on personal experience I guess.

Amecon (and I assume Kitacon and Ayacon) are worth going to, a lot more happens than at expos because there are more things organised and they have the social feel of the smaller expos because the numbers are capped.
