Ouran High School Host Club Blazer Problems ¬.¬

Does anyone know where I could get a plain purple jacket for an Ouran High School Host Club cosplay I want to do.
If not a blazer/jacket, then any suggestions on fabric and pattern.

I would buy an Ouran jacket from other websites but they are always blue...and I need it to be purple like this picture. Also my partner is needing the uniform too, so will need to look into different sizes. Thanks

Let me know thanks ^_^

Why not try and dye it? It's pretty easy to dye things.

id say as well to dye a white blazer/jacket if you are stuck but i would be carefull since my ouran blazer was dyed and it hasnt come out all one colour

Thanks for the response...

Dying it might be an option but I was worried about it being blotchy...but I will look into it as it may be my only option...but if anyone sees anything, please let me know thanks ^_^

My friend dyes a lot of things and usually has good results. She uses Dylon products I believe you dye things as they wash and the result is a pretty smooth colour. Remember to read the instructions you may need to add salt, for example.

Ouran Highs uniform is a cornflower blue, in some images I agree it does look more purple though.

I would go down the dyeing route. I'd pick Dylon over Rit dye as Rit hasnt been the same in the last few years. The main thing you need to do is make sure the item your wanting to dye can be dyed. If it has too much man made fibers in it it comes out alot lighter so if you can aim for cotton or viscose as both these fabrics dye well, if your unsure of the dyeing proccess you can youtube Dylon Dyes on Youtube as I did that for their handwash dye as I hadnt used it before.

Good luck!~

Thanks, I will look into all these options and thanks Raine for the advice on the fabric...that will really help.

I have only hand-dyed before but it's wasn't a full dye project, but the dying as it washes may be a really good option as it should do all over.

I will have to work things out as I would like to do this cosplay this year ^_^
