Hey everyone, this is a very early posting but I'm just about to begin creating my MGS1 Solid Snake costume so I thought I would write something...

So, I'm forming an MGS 1 group for London Expo on both Saturday and Sunday this October and was wondering who would like to join us in hope of making a full MGS1 group.

So far there is myself as Solid Snake, my brother as Gray Fox, my girlfriend as Meryl, Cyanide Custard as Liquid Snake and his girlfriend as Sniper Wolf.

Also - even if you aren't cosplaying MGS1 but are cosplaying MGS do post! It will be brilliant to all get together, say hello and get some great group shots.

I was planning to do something simpler for October this year as my friends and I are planning something fairly big for May next year. Was gonna re-use something but I saw this and thought to myself "I did enjoy MSG1"
If it's alright with you guys I'd love to join you as Otacon.

I will be at Expo in October but sadly will probably not be EVA there

Last time I went to October Expo as her I was told my multiple security staff to cover up my breasts as it was a "family event"

I pointed out that the website and advertisements were also heavily cosplay based and I was in the cosplay area, and also there was nothing online about costume decency. Their double standards amazed me though as they allowed many more revealing ladies to wander around!

Anyway, I mmiiiiiight be EVA (and if I am will join your general MGS group) but I can't guarantee it due to the "decency" issue xD

I'd LOVE to see a good Screaming Mantis cosplayer so I could get a photo with her as Psycho Mantis.. We can hope irght?

good to see a decent MGS group in the works. Not 100% what I'll be able to do fo Oct yet, but if things go well I'll try for re making Gray Fox. Wanted to eventually redo this cosplay anyway, so hopefully I'll manage to do so.

i'll still need a way to take my FAMAS trough security and back -.- other then that it should be smooth sailing.

Gathering supplies is a hard task, however with my fellow liquid snake its proving easier than we hoped. Will be locked and loaded before October creeps up on us. Looking forward to see other characters of the Metal Gear family.

Made some serious progress with the Mantis cosplay today - would say I'm about 80% done now.

Can't wait!!

Same can't be said for me as of late, been busy working and also have two other cosplays to complete - but I should be starting Solid Snake at the end of May. So I'll post some progress pics when I do.

Just wondering how everyone's costumes are coming along!

I'll probably get started on mine after this expo, already got my beady eye on a jacket for it but I'll keep you better informed after May.

If i can make it (normally away the weekend Expo is on) i'll gladly bring Old Big Boss along for the ride
