Struggling to find the name of something...
Hello!

Sorry if I'm being completely stupid here, but I need your help. I've asked other people and wracked my brains and I just can't remember what this item is called.

I've uploaded a picture so it's easier for me to describe.

It's essentially a buckle, without the pin or sliding bar in the middle. I can find plenty of sliding buckles, and as a last resort I will use metal cutters to get rid of the middle bar... but I'd rather just find them ready to go!

I mean, you can see that I'd need several in varying sizes... so, does anyone have any ideas? Because I just sound stupid going into fabric shops and asking for small rectangles of metal. 8I

These are basiically D rings, Rectangle d rings XD http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bag-Strap-Fittings-Rectangle-Ring-38mm-1-5in-/200889552585?pt=UK_Crafts_Sewing_Supplies_MJ&hash=item2ec5f34ec9

Ebay names them Rectangle rings in the craft section ^^

Hope you find everything you need!

Unfortunately, I don't know that they have a specific name. However, I can tell you that fabric shops are less likely to have them than hardware stores, military surplus, or leathercraft stores - for example, Leprevo have them at the bottom of the page here. Try looking for sites that sell O and D rings as they'll often have them too.

Aaah, thanks you guys! I did find normal D-Rings and you think I would have looked into that further, but nope... >-< I will check out some hardwares stores and look up more rings on ebay! Thanks for your help! <3

Hey,

If you intend to use it as a functioning buckle i would recommend a military style "roll pin Buckle". I was in the army and used them on my belts and webbing. If its merely cosmetic, then a simple "d" type ring mentioned would work.

hope that was not completely pointless
