ok so me and a friend are going to do final fantasy for expo and i am being lightning. after looking on the internet the cosplays are VERY expensive. being a studnet i don't have a lot of spare cash so would be looking to spend around the £30/40 mark but would b open to negotiation. i am a uk size 14, but am happy to alter things and would not be put off by minor repairs.
can anybody help plz

just to clarify i am NOT looking for a commission. i am looking for a second hand cosplay as with my rediculous amounts of uni work i am unable to make this cons cosplay myself, as i normally would. i am not looking for the boots or the wig. i can appreciate the costs involved as i have made many in the past and i know it was a long shot but i thought it was worth ago to see if anyone had a lightning cosplay they no longer needed.
not looking for people to treat me like an idiot was just seeing if anyone could help before i wasted money i don't really have if someone had one they were willing to part with

No offence, but I doubt you'll get a decent Lightning cosplay for that price. I myself have made a Lightning cosplay and it cost me well over £100 to make.

Now I'm not a commissioner but I know more than a few. Do try to consider that people doing commissions are often trying to make a living, so need a profit to justify materials used and time spent vs money charged.

Just the cloth materials are likely to set you back by nearly as much or more than you're offering, unless you'd be happy with EXTREMELY poor fabrics, which most people aren't.

Ask yourself if you'd be willing to make something for nearly free (possibly even a loss) after costs using a good chunk of time (assume a minimum of 8-12 hours) for someone you don't know - if not, then why would you expect someone else to do it for you?

Lightning is a very expensive cosplay to make. Mine cost £200+, so the chance of finding one for £30 is incredibly slim, unless someone is desperate to sell it.

That said, there is someone on this forum selling the majority of her Lightning cosplay for £50 (£80 if you also want the shoulder piece)

EDIT: As Junta said, you'll never comission Lightning at that price. It wouldn't cover the cost of materials, nevermind the time for her.

You're better off saving up and spending a little more.

Guys...I don't think she is looking for a commission. She wants to buy someone's old Lightning cosplay they don't want anymore 0_O Plus she isn't looking for the expensive stuff - wigs and shoes.

I've seen new ones online for £50-£60 and someone's old one isn't necessarily worth more than that even if they spend more making it for themselves.

Lets see what others are willing to do rather than guessing
